Seahorse Analyzer XFe 96

Agilent's Seahorse XFe96 Analyzer measures the oxygen consumption rate (OCR) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) in cultured cells and isolated mitochondria in a 96-well plate format. The assessment of OCR and ECAR are key indicators of mitochondrial respiration and glycolysis and these measurements provide a systems-level view of cellular metabolic function.

The MPC provides users access to the Seahorse XFe96 Analyzer, non-CO2 incubator, 5 % CO2 incubator, clean bench, pipettes and cell culture consumables. Technical support will be provided upon request.

Users are responsible for purchasing assay kits, preparing media and injection reagents, performing media exchanges, loading the assay cartridges, running the assay, and analyzing the data. All new users require training with Kevin Bittman and a brief orientation to the working area by the MPC.
