Seahorse Analyzer XFe 24

The Agilent Seahorse XFe24 Analyzers measure the oxygen consumption rate (OCR) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) of live cells in a 24-well plate format. The OCR and ECAR provide insight into the cellular metabolic function of cultured cells and ex-vivo samples by indicating mitochondrial respiration and glycolysis, as well as ATP production rate.

The MPC provides users access to the Seahorse XFe24 Analyzer, non-CO2 incubator, 5 % CO2 incubator, clean bench, pipettes and cell culture consumables. Technical support will be provided upon request.

Users are responsible for purchasing assay kits, preparing media and injection reagents, performing media exchanges, loading the assay cartridges, running the assay, and analyzing the data. All new users require training with Kevin Bittman and a brief orientation to the working area by the MPC.
